Want a virtual design business? I'm talking to you.

Maybe you've been thinking about this for months. Maybe years. Find yourself below.

The design grad
"I have the diploma or degree. I have zero clients."
I sat in that exact spot. School taught me design, not how to get hired. Let's fix the client part.
The one everyone asks
"My friends always want my help. Could I actually charge for this?"
If people keep asking, take the hint. Just please don't do it for free for two years like I did.
The career changer
"Is it too late to start over?"
I started over from NURSING. In a different country. You're fine, I promise.
The industry pro
"I love design. I'm so over site visits and chasing deliveries."
I worked in construction, I get it. Virtual lets you keep the design and lose most of the logistics.
The already started
"I have a few clients, but my pricing and scope are a MESS."
Mine were too. I lost money figuring this out so you don't have to.
The life-first creative
"I want creative work I can do from anywhere, around my actual life."
Same. My commute is 12 steps and I walk my dogs whenever I want.

Whichever one you are, what you really want is to call your own shots and do work you're proud of. That's exactly why I built my business this way, and I want to show you how to build yours.

This is me

In one hour, you'll learn

Real stuff from my real business. No fluff, no theory, then a big live Q&A.

01
Start before you feel ready
When it all blew up in January I had zero processes. Just HoneyBook and vibes. Here's what you actually need on day one, and what you can totally skip. You'll leave with: a day-one checklist
02
How virtual design really works
What I do, what I DON'T do, and why my clients love buying on their own schedule. You'll leave with: a clear service model
03
Your first services and packages
Including the projects I lost money on because I undercharged or didn't ask the right questions. Learn from my pain. You'll leave with: a pricing starting point
04
Finding and booking clients
How my Instagram went from about 3K to almost 50K, and what actually makes a video bring in inquiries. You'll leave with: content that books calls
05
What happens after they say yes
My actual process, step by step, straight from my HoneyBook pipeline. You'll leave with: my client journey, mapped
06
Ask me literally anything
Prices, clients, software, the stuff nobody in this industry talks about out loud. You'll leave with: your real questions answered
Straight from client emails

This is what virtual sounds like

"You totally nailed it!"

S.R.

"Oh my goodness, I'm blown away!"

D.A.

"You truly are the absolute BEST."

B.S.

"This feels like a YES."

E.T.

"I am OBSESSED with the new couch."

B.S.

"Really good call with this paint!"

K.B.

Every one of these came from a client I never met in person. On the 19th I'll show you the process behind them.

Your host

Hi! I'm Emily

Founder and lead designer of House of Daisy Design. I design homes across the US, Canada and beyond from my spot on Vancouver Island, and I built this whole business online. A few things you should know about me:

Jersey girl, now island girl Taurus + firstborn = I do it MY way My commute is 12 steps Weird vintage chair > matching furniture set Ex-nurse (yep, really) Built all my own websites, badly at first Dog mom

This was not a straight line

If you think you took too many detours to do this... babe, look at my resume.

  1. Age 18Design school in New York. Lasted one semester. The math scared me off.
  2. The safe choiceNursing. Moved to Canada, worked in healthcare for years. Secure on paper, miserable in real life.
  3. Sneaking backRefinished furniture. Opened a retail store with almost no money and figured it out as I went.
  4. 2022Design diploma from the Interior Design Institute. Then still wondered if I was "allowed" to charge.
  5. The cheap yearsTwo years designing for friends and family for basically nothing. Learned SO much. Made very little. Lol.
  6. 2023 to 2025Construction. Project coordination and design. Taught me what I did NOT want my days to look like.
  7. 2026All in on House of Daisy. Full time. Fully booked. Wild.
Why I do this
"The design industry is mostly set up for big budgets. I design for people who want to feel safe and at home in their own space, whatever their budget is."

My clients get the full plan, and the freedom to buy in their own time. Everyone deserves a home that feels like them. Virtual design is how I get to make that happen, and it can be how you do too.

Okay, be honest. What's holding you back?

CONTENT
Live attendees only

My 30-Day Content Plan for Virtual Designers, free

  • Hooks that actually stop the scroll
  • A full month of post ideas, ready to film
  • A first look at finding your angle and telling your story

Stay till the end on the 19th and it's yours. After that, the only way to get it is with the Starter Kit.

Is this for you?

Come if you...

  • ✓Love design and want to get paid for it, from anywhere
  • ✓Have a diploma or degree but no clients (yet)
  • ✓Keep getting asked for design help by friends
  • ✓Already have clients but your pricing feels like a guess
  • ✓Want work that fits around your real life

Skip it if you...

  • ✕Want a get-rich-quick scheme (this is real work)
  • ✕Only want to do full-service, in-person installs
  • ✕Aren't open to showing up online at all
  • ✕Want someone to tell you it's easy. It's worth it, not easy.

Questions you're too polite to ask

Still wondering something? DM me on Instagram. I actually answer.

Is it actually free?

Yep. And I'll be upfront: at the end I'll tell you about my Starter Kit. If it's not for you, no hard feelings. You'll still leave with a ton.

What time is it where I live?

Thursday, November 19 at 10am Pacific. That's 1pm Eastern, 6pm in the UK and 7pm in most of Europe. In Australia or New Zealand it lands early Friday morning, so register and catch the replay.

Do I need a design diploma or degree?

School helped me a lot, but it's not the only way in. Wherever you're starting from, come. Just know that some places have rules about which titles you can use, so check yours.

I'm a total beginner. Is this too advanced?

Nope! This whole thing is about starting. If you're further along, you'll still steal a bunch from my process and pricing mistakes.

Will there be a replay?

Register and I'll send it to you. But the content plan bonus is only for people who show up live, so come hang out!

Do I need to be on camera?

Nope. Come in your pajamas with your camera off. I'll be the one on camera (possibly also in pajamas).

Doors open Thursday, November 19

You'll never feel ready. Come anyway.
